We bought this to replace the 3″ foam that originally came with our Sleep Number bed.
We have been surprised by how well the Snuggle-Pedic works because it’s only 2″ thick. But the benefit of the 2″ size is that we don’t feel like we are sinking into valleys in the bed. With our old topper, it could sometimes feel like we would get trapped and not be able to easily roll over.
We have tried it both ways with the firmer side up and vice versa. We prefer the softer side up.
Relief-Mart has been great with good communication and after purchase follow up emails.

The best kind of mattress pad you can use for protection is one that offers both breathability and provides some stretch, so the memory foam can optimally contour your body. We also offer a stretch micro-vented organic cotton protector.
This topper will conform around your body whether you sleep on your side or back. It is not too thick like a some of the other toppers, so back sleepers do not have to worry about losing spinal support.

The 4lb. lower density and softer ILD (indentation load deflection) side is very close to Tempur-Pedic’s softer memory foam, whereas the other side is firmer than their firmest Tempur-Pedic mattress model, as well as utilizing a more buoyant support structure. The two combine for a more supportive topper than what you will usually find on the market, without sacrificing the comfort and pressure relief, in addition to being reversible.
The foam will adapt perfectly with a fold up sofa bed, but it really depends on the bed itself, as some allow enough room for a couple of extra inches over the mattress height for bedding. If your sofa bed does not allow space for extra bedding and you keep it folded for a long period of time, the foam may lose some of its shape over time.
The double layer patented system we use allows the topper to be soft, yet supportive. The way it accomplishes this is by using the softer layer on top for pressure relief and allowing the firmer layer underneath to help prevent the bottoming out of the body onto the firm mattress below. This is unfortunately what will occur if you use a one layer, soft topper only. The Snuggle-Pedic two-layer design is by far the best way to address this
The problem with gel is that it is a very strong conductor to what is placed closest to it. So, initially, it will feel cool to the touch, but like an ice pack that is taken out of the freezer, after a short time, it will actually turn warmer as it conducts the body heat throughout the night. That is why our topper feels as good, if not better than the gel combination toppers, but will actually be cooler throughout the night than if we added gel to it and you don’t have to worry about the gel pieces separating and coming off over time.
Yes, they will, so long as your sheets are already not too tight on your current mattress. If you do not have those sheets currently to test this, then we would recommend ordering deep pocketed sheets to be on the safe side.
The mattress topper actually fits better with it being one inch less than the mattress on all sides for two reasons. First, the edges of most mattresses are rounded, so it sits more squarely this way. More importantly, the sheets fit better this way, since the fitted ones pull tightly on the ends and this way the topper won’t be bunched up at the edges of the mattress.
We actually decided not to sell the topper with a cover because they are cumbersome to zip on and off for the customers and you can accomplish the same thing by simply putting a mattress protector over the whole topper and mattress, giving it a connected feel.
With the double layer design the Snuggle-Pedic uses, the 2 inch mattress topper will change the feel of the mattress. The softer memory foam layer will start off immediately cushioning your body, but then instead of bottoming out onto the hard mattress below like you would with a soft 3 inch topper, the 2nd memory foam layer will give the topper twice the support and prevent that bottoming out, while giving more support and continued contouring comfort. So, you get a more substantial feel, but without having to worry about the problems that come with a thicker topper, such as your sheets not fitting well or the loss of support with so much sinking of one soft layer. Of course, you can always reverse the topper if you think it is too soft of a feel on the surface.
You can do either. but if you insert it, you won’t feel the contouring of the memory foam as much as you would if you placed it over the Sleep Number mattress cover system they use.
No, the mattress topper does not come with a cover.
It is true that when a company says “Made in the U.S.A.,” unfortunately, it does not mean that every component is made in the U.S.A. and in fact, it may mean that only the final assembly is done in the U.S., despite the fact the the FTC has regulations for allowing a company to use the claim “Made in the U.S.A.” However, we are one of the few pillow/mattress companies that has had our entire supply chain audited and certified as all U.S. made. Our pillows are one such example, as all the material is made in the U.S. and assembled in California. It is because we only use high-end, made in the U.S.A. components in our products that make them so durable and allow us to offer long warranties. The foam itself comes from the excess material found in our high-end mattresses that have been made into small pieces from our ventilator and shredding machine. Lastly, we support local jobs by hiring 100% of our staff right here in Southern California.
